Hi
and Welcome to Mysnapz, An unashamed showcase for my Photography
and art.
I am a bit late
with my update this month as promised I have a few more Images from
my Explore
series, these are from a old derelict house, as you will see it
has seen better days I am a little late in finding it. I loved the
rooms with their 70s wallpaper and the fireplace boarded up and
forgotten becoming a deathtrap for the unsuspecting birds that fell
inside and the out house that housed a wonderful old generator soon
to become consumed by its surroundings.
If
you
have enjoyed your visit here then please find a few moments to sign
my visitors
book. Please
visit again, I update every month so you will always find new images.
4th October
2009 For
a few months I have been exploring old derelict buildings, in the
spirit of others that like this style of photography, taking only
photographs and leaving only footprints.
These images
are a combination of HDR and other Photo shop techniques to lift
the colours and textures found in these buildings. I have started
an Explore
gallery with pictures from a wonderful building and local landmark
I am told will soon be demolished. I hope you will return in the
coming months as I post other images from this and other locations.
13th september
2009 Just
back from a few days in Cornwall, after seeing the images in the local
galleries I had to try taking some seascape pictures. spent a very
enjoyable few hours watching the tide come crashing in on the rocks
at Traberwith Strand,
if you like them you can get prints in my PhotoBox shop.
8th August
2009 This
month I have three Panoramic's for you. These are made up of 24 images,
two rows taken
through 360'. I use a number of different software packages to help
me achieve them, Autopano to search for common points between the
images, Hugin to distort and make the image stitch together and finally
Enblend to match the exposure shifts between the images, I have also
found by using PS Photomerge you get very good results but without
the control of other software. Town
hall, Workshop,
Potting
Shed.

I while ago I took over 500 Smoke
pictures in a couple of sessions, this was done in a very still room,
the lighting was from a single flash unit which created a slight turbulence
in the room forming the shapes and forms in the smoke, finally I have
taken the time to select 20 to make a panel of images, if you like
the individual images or the complete panel they are available from
my shop.
9th June
2009 For
a long time I have wanted to visit the H
R Giger Museum in Switzerland so this month I have set
a new gallery with a few images from my trip. It was a great experience
to see his art first hand, and adds another dimension to images I
have only seen online or in books, if you're a fan then it is well
worth the visit.

Two images the first Wonderland
thought this made a very surreal image with the gothic building and
the pink rabbit, the second Pleasure
& Delight even in a storm, shot on the beach at Brighton
where this ride never seems to stop.
12th
March 2009 Nice
of you to drop in. This month I have a bit of a ecliptic mix of images,
they have all been given the Photo shop treatment, with a mix of filters
and textures. Fruit
Bowl is a bit of a mimic of some of the images going
round the exhibitions at the moment, Together
again fits my dark image theme and Truck
just gets the treatment to give it that aged feeling.
6th February
2009 Got
up at 5am with an early morning pass to take some pictures and took
a trip to Stonehenge , the pass allows full access to the site for
a limited numbers of visitors. The sunrise brought some nice picture
opportunities I have posted my favorites for you to see here, for
details check out the English
heritage web site.

The start of a new year and I have something a little different for
you.
I started
out looking into the work and techniques of Photographer
Dave
Hill some how on the way I got a little side tracked
and produced the effect used on my Portrait Harry.
not quite Dave Hill but interesting enough to feature here.
4th December
2008
its been a bit of a eclectic year photography wise, with a mix of
subjects from street, Landscape, Portrait and wildlife, with a little
image manipulation thrown in.
On that
note I have four images that combine a few filter techniques and
some of my resent street images, For
Hire, Hair
Cut, Tea
& Chips and Restaurant.
